The Founder

BM_PaulaS-21_cropped.jpgHi, my name is Paula Wells and I am the driving force behind Starr Office Services, now known as ThinkSOS. After working in the corporate world for 20 years as an Administrator and Office Manager, I took the skills and experience I gained and use them to provide solutions for today's busy solo-preneur.

I understand the unique needs of small businesses. My proactive and goal oriented approach to Business Planning, Operations and Administration has produced increased profits and productivity for my various clients.

My formal education is from George Brown College where I studied the Assaulted Women’s and Children’s Counsellor/Advocate Program. The curriculum provided me with a feminist perspective of political and oppressive issues, taught me about myself and opened my mind to new ideas. I recently completed a web design certification program from Humber College and will continue my education in media studies over the next few years.

The History

Since 2004, I have helped small business owners in the GTA with their: Bookkeeping, E-Newsletter Management, Office Management and Client Relationship Programs. From developing financial reporting measures to creating editorial calendars, I’ve played an integral role in assisting and managing small businesses.

Always budget conscious, in 2004 I embarked on a journey to improve my relationship with money and founded a group called the Money Wise Women’s Club. The club ran for 2 years and was an educational forum and meeting place to empower and educate women.

Lifestream

I’m a firm believer in balance and to create it in my life I enjoy hobbies such as writing poetry, walking my adorable dog, reading, summers in South Hampton, exercising and cooking. Meditation is a daily part of my life and I am building an online meditation album on Facebook that you can view here.

Movie-aholic that I am, you can find me on Flixster under my alter-ego Lady James. Also look for Lady James at The Artist’s Way Café in the Café Express blog. You’ll find movie reviews, resources for artists, local talent and the occasional poem.

And yet another job title – Momager to future rock icon – Dakota Starr! If you’re a You Tuber, join the Café Listening Lounge to view videos of Dakota’s performances.
